I was raised on old school diners and the corner delicatessen.
Growing up in Westchester and traveling the north east with
the family, by car, since I was a kid, gave me an insatiable taste
and respect for this food and culture. A casual family restaurant
is the cornerstone of our great New York neighborhoods.
DD’s DINER is a hybrid of my sincere respect for
what family “dining rooms” used to be with a slight
additional twist and a tribute to everyone who has been an
influence on me and my cuisine. I do hope that our restaurant
rekindles the feelings of true friendly “diners”—the type of quality
restaurants so many of us grew up with (and still crave)
which have slowly, but steadily, disappeared from our town
and village street corners. Thanks for letting us feed you today.
And remember never trust a skinny chef and the sky’s the limit.
